LV Dream is an art

With the upcoming opening of LV Dream, the LVMH group is further strengthening its presence in the heart of Paris.

New unmissable cultural and culinary destination at the end of the year, whose opening to the general public is announced from December 12th and for one year, the project stamped Louis Vuitton marks the kick-off of the rehabilitation of the building on rue du Pont-Neuf, opposite La Samaritaine and Cheval Blanc . It should then give way to another large-scale project, that of a vast shopping and hotel complex, confirming the LVMH group's desire to bring behind it the original city center of Paris within about fifteen years.

In the meantime, the former La Belle Jardinière store is coming back to life in the form of an experiential journey open to all, on the borders of art and fashion, where Louis Vuitton's imagination and creativity seem limitless. On the ground floor, an exhibition retraces the many artistic collaborations of the brand for 160 years, paying tribute to the very many artists who have contributed to it over the decades, with a wide selection of historical and contemporary pieces spread over nine rooms, from its first showcases, perfume bottles and trunks made to order, from the iconic variations of the Monogram imagined by famous designers, to the most recent fashion collaborations.

Let's go for an immersive journey made of interactive experiences, such as exploring the interior of giant bags inspired by the creations of Rei Kawakubo, Artistic Director of Comme des Garçons, or the projection on a digital wall of sensitive animations movement, also inspired by the house's collaborations with Daniel Buren, Nigo, Grace Coddington and Christopher Nemeth.

A final room is dedicated to the Maison's ready-to-wear collections since 1998, bringing together the collaborations of artists with the emblematic Men's and Women's Artistic Directors of Louis Vuitton: Marc Jacobs, Kim Jones, Nicolas Ghesquière and Virgil Abloh.

A museum of contemporary art in its own right, bringing together the big names on the international scene who have each marked their era, and whose guest list is impressive: Damien Hirst, Cao Fei, Jeff Koons, Marc Newson, Frank Gehry, Cindy Sherman, Takashi Murakami, Richard Prince, Alex Israel, Christian Liaigre, Kenta Cobayashi, Andrée Putman, Urs Fischer, Tracey Emin…

More than enough to excuse a break at the Café chocolaterie with its tropical atmosphere on the first floor, just to test other exclusive works, and this time for taste, imagined by Maxime Frédéric, pastry chef at Cheval Blanc Paris (and recently winner in his category of the Gault & Millau 2022 ranking). Without forgetting a last stage of the trip, the Gift Shop , with its saving organic atmosphere, and its creations with the exclusive LV DREAM logo, a selection of small leather goods, accessories, perfumes and publications. So as not to leave empty-handed.
