Beach Waves: The look is that simple
Beach waves are a must-have for the summer look. The casual waves are much easier to create than you might think.
A relaxed day at the beach, the sun gently kissing your skin, the sound of the waves in your ears - who doesn't want this carefree atmosphere? Beach waves ensure a casual, summery mood. With a few tips, wavy hair can be effortlessly styled yourself.
We show 3 variants of how beach waves succeed:
- Beach waves with curling iron
- Beach waves with flat irons
- Beach waves without the heat
For the variants with heat, it is important to prepare the hair for it. A heat protection spray should be used. Then comb your hair well.
Beach waves with the curling iron
In the version with the curling iron, 2 to 3 cm thick strands are wrapped around the curling iron. The last section of hair (about 3 to 5 cm) should be straightened to get the perfect beach look. The front strands are twisted away from the face. The remaining strands can either be twisted in this same direction or - for a voluminous look - alternately twisted left and right.
Tip: The handle of the curling iron should point towards the ceiling when twisting the curls, the tip towards the floor.
Then wait a moment for the hair to cool down. Then loosen your hair a bit with your fingers - do not comb! Finally, the waves can be fixed with hairspray or a sea salt spray can be used for a salty finish.
Beach waves with a flat iron
Beach waves can be made particularly quickly with the straightening iron. After a middle parting has been drawn, the two sections of hair are divided again in the middle and at the back. There should be a total of five braids. Then twist the first section of hair around your fingers. Glide the hair straightener piece by piece along the twisted braid . This process is repeated for the other 4 braids. Then carefully open and loosen the individual sections of hair with your fingers. Then fix it again with spray.
Beach waves without the heat
To style beach waves without heat, it is best to wash your hair in the evening. Depending on your preference, a sea salt spray can be applied to damp hair. Comb your damp hair well and then braid it loosely. Do not start directly at the roots and also leave a few centimeters free on the lower hair. The bigger the braids are braided, the bigger the waves will be. Then let it dry overnight and carefully open the braids the next morning and loosen them with your fingers. Fix the waves with spray and the beach look is done.
