Why do people lather their foundation on TikTok?

The latest beauty trend seen on TikTok is to prepare your foundation with a milk frother.

TikTok   can be interesting, especially when you find the latest beauty trends and tricks that actually work. Between the rolled brow effect, heatless curls, and frozen beauty blender, TikTok has become the go-to place for beauty tips.

The final makeup trick is to do   foam your foundation   using a milk frother – yes, like the one you use for your morning latte – but what does the process look like? Beauty content creators pour a few drops of liquid foundation into a glass of water and, using a milk frother, whip the mixture until the product forms a thick foam and aerial.

FROTHING FOUNDATION

Inspired by the skincare foaming technique of Glamzilla ,   Avonna Sunshine , creator of the foaming foundation, describes this technique as a game-changer. She said, " It feels like a cloud...it feels like weightlessness ," as she applied the product. She credits that lightweight, silky feel to mixing the foundation with water, but the consistency of the product gives it light skin coverage. In another video where she tries to lather her foundation,  sunshine  applies mousse foundation on half of her face and normal foundation on the other half. She explains that the mousse side looks more natural, but the coverage is lighter than her normal foundation.

The beauty guru Huda Kattan has also embraced the foam trend. However, rather than using water, she simply lathered her foundation as it was, agreeing that she felt an air sensation. " Now I have to travel with a foamer ," she said.
