Reminisce on the '80s With These Young Photos of the Brat Pack
It wasn't '80s cinema without the Brat Pack.
Close your eyes and think of any teen movie in the '80s, and chances are members of the Brat Pack had a starring role. Created by New York Magazine writer David Blum, the Brat Pack consisted of Emilio Estevez, Anthony Michael Hall, Rob Lowe, Andrew McCarthy, Demi Moore, Judd Nelson, Molly Ringwald, and Ally Sheedy (with other unofficial members including Robert Downey Jr. and Tom Cruise). The famous set of friends reigned over '80s cinema and became the faces of coming-of-age movies throughout the decade. On the lineup of notable films the Brat Pack starred in are Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink, The Outsiders, About Last Night, and St. Elmo's Fire to name a few.
Ultimately, the negatively written feature story from Blum about the group caused the friends to eventually go their separate ways—an article that Blum himself later admitted he shouldn't have published. While the Brat Pack may be no more, the lasting impact left by the group remains. To take a stroll down memory lane, L'OFFICIEL looks back at young photos of the Brat Pack.
