Get Ready With Tinx For Elton John's 2023 Oscars Party
From taking a dip in a cold plunge to sipping on an ice-cold Diet Coke, see how TikTok's "older sister" gets ready for her Oscars party debut.
To many, Tinx is considered the internet's older sister because of the wise advice she shares with her audience regarding relationships and mental health. Although her main objective on social media is to make people feel their best, she also dabbles in the world of fashion. Before attending one of the most extravagant parties of the year, Tinx gives L'OFFICIEL an inside look at how she gets red-carpet ready.
After showering and taking a dip in her cold plunge, the content creator makes something delicious to start her day. Arriving at an event on an empty stomach is never a good idea she says, because "then you're ravenous stalking the passed hors d'oeuvres like an animal." Along with nourishing her body, Tinx also nourished her face with a Tracie Martyn Red Carpet facial. "I had just gotten off the plane from doing my first ever live show in Austin, Texas, which was a thrill, but left me looking a little worse for the wear," she says.
The final fitting is one of the most important parts of the morning. Making sure the dress fits perfectly is essential. Tinx wore a brown, sequin gown with rose detailing by Magda Butrym, who she is obsessed with. After a few fittings and much brainstorming, Lauren Jeworski, Tinx's stylist, landed on this dress. "I'm very into Rosecore. Is that a thing? If not, it should be," Tinx says.
Choosing the right makeup artist can be tricky, but Tinx has found her perfect match: celebrity makeup artist, Hailey Hoff. The pair have been working together for two years, and according to Tinx, Hoff understands her face. They just get each other. "We're very into light glam these days. It feels fresh," Tinx says.
As the glam process comes to end, celebrity hairstylist Laura Rugetti put the finishing touches on Tinx's hair. This event was the first time the two had worked together, but everyone was over the moon with the results. "She was a perfectionist like I've never seen. Not a stray hair out of place," says Tinx.
Hair and makeup are done, so it is finally time to put on the dress. With some help, Tinx puts on her Jennifer Meyer jewelry and slips on some gold heels which add an extra metallic element to her look. "I am not a diva. I swear," she says.
Before leaving for a party, a "Diet Coke break" is a necessity. "Nothing like an ice-cold DC to prepare you for the carpet. No this is not an ad…a girl can dream."
After a day of preparation, it is finally time to head off to the Elton John AIDS Foundation's Annual Academy Awards Party. "It literally took a small town to get me ready. Thank God for them," Tinx says. Supporting this cause is important to the digital creator, and she refers to it as "life-saving work."
