Margot Robbie , 34, has welcomed her first baby , a boy, with husband Tom Ackerley , and it's a boy! Details about the couple's son, including his name and date of birth, have yet to be revealed.
The couple, both 34, met in 2013 while filming Suite Française . The pair remained friends and together founded the production company LuckyChap , alongside Robbie 's childhood friend Sophia Kerr and Josey McNamara, who produced I, Tonya , Birds of Prey and, of course, Barbie . After a slow-moving romance, Robbie and Ackerley began dating later in 2014. "I was the quintessential single girl. The idea of relationships made me want to puke," she said in 2016 of their romantic timeline, from friends to lovers. "And then it just became obvious to me." After dating for a few years, they tied the knot in December 2016 in a small ceremony in Byron Bay.
Previously, Margot Robbie has spoken candidly about her frustration with society's expectations of motherhood. "I got married, and the first question in almost every interview is, 'Babies? When are you having one?'" she said in a 2019 interview with RadioTimes . "I'm so angry that there's this social contract. You're married, now have a baby." She added: "I'll do what I want to do when the time comes." True to her word, it seems she and her husband are planning to start a family whenever the time is right... and 2024 seems like a good year, according to early rumours.
