Ibiza Party Girl Paris Hilton Celebrates Wedding
Paris Hilton tied the knot with Carter Reum this Thursday.
Paris Hilton is not known for half measures; it's either extravagance or nothing at all. The same could be said for the elaborate wedding between Hilton and her husband Carter Reum. The event took place last Thursday at her grandfather Barron’s Bel-Air estate.
The couple became engaged last February after dating for a year. Reum, a venture capitalist, proposed to Hilton on a private island with an emerald-cut ring designed by Jean Dousset. Their wedding, a three night celebration, began with a ceremony on Thursday, to be followed by a carnival at Santa Monica Pier on Friday, and a black-tie soirée on Saturday.
Hilton's wedding dress, a magnificent princess gown, was made custom by Oscar De La Renta. Both the dress and veil are adorned with a pressed-flower appliqué. The garment accordingly took over 1,400 hours to complete. Hilton also admitted to undergoing several outfit changes throughout the night.
“I love outfit changes,” she told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show. Though, her husband-to-be only wore one suit, as “he’s not as high-maintenance.”
Hilton's bridesmaids, a collection of friends and relatives, wore custom pink looks from Alice + Olivia. Stacey Bendet, CEO of the brand, attended the ceremony, alongside other celebrities such as Emma Roberts and Paula Abdul.
Though they just got married, the couple is already focusing on the next steps towards building a family. On The Trend Reporter podcast with Mara Schiavocampo, Hilton revealed that she is currently undergoing IVF in hopes of having a child with her new husband. Apparently, longtime friend Kim Kardashian is the one who told Hilton about the fertility treatments.
“We have been doing the IVF, so I can pick twins if I like. Kim [Kardashian] is actually the one who told me about that. I didn’t even know anything about it," she said on the podcast.
In true Paris Hilton style, the heiress has been flaunting her wedding photos all over social media, looking absolutely stunning and writing, "My forever beings today...#JustMarried"
