Collectible NY: Inclusive and Diverse Design

A successful bet for the international design fair which inaugurated its New York edition. Goodbye Brussels, hello Manhattan!

The challenge was daring with over a hundred exhibitors from twenty-five different countries in the heart of the Financial District, but it was brilliantly met by Clélie Debehault and Liv Vaisberg, the founders of Collectible , who were able to maintain the fair's constant commitment to presenting unique pieces, custom orders and limited editions.

Collectible ’s expansion to NY brought with it many galleries and independent designer studios who also dreamed of America! This first edition gave rise to dialogues on both sides of the Atlantic. This is the case of the St Vincent gallery, based in Antwerp, which collaborated with the designer Michael Hilal, originally from San Francisco, to present an exclusive collection.

Make it anywhere

The conquest of the United States was made under the aegis of Emily Marant, a New Yorker by adoption, at the head of her eponymous studio. She laid the foundations for an ongoing conversation between design, art and culture in New York and beyond.

Its curation has been able to explore new territories and chart a radical path towards the future thanks to a program of conferences and round tables led by leading figures in design and architecture. Through its discussions, Collectible illustrates its commitment to promoting inclusive and diverse design.

The event was able to create momentum in the city, beyond design. A new and palpable breath of fresh air animated visitors from fashion, art, industry, not to mention the general public, in a melting pot dear to NY.
