In the heart of winter, Roche Bobois demonstrates its constantly renewed know-how for 75 years by transforming our interiors into joyful cocoons where elegance, style, comfort and creativity compete with each other in a unique way. The new autumn-winter 2024 collection is an ode to the French art of living, the true signature of this iconic house which, since the 1950s, has advocated attention to detail, refined finishes and work done according to the rules of the art.

In Roche Bobois ' cutting-edge interiors, singularity is key to offering everyone a unique interior that reflects them. To achieve this, boldness is at the service of innovation. Thus, Roche Bobois has always developed its collections in partnership with major international designers and talented young creators. This season, the result is a new collection that takes the form of furniture designed to be both beautiful and functional, while embodying design for living.

Love & Design

This season, Roche Bobois has entrusted the writing of this new chapter in its history to the young guard of international design. These prestigious collaborations, which are shaping the new face of the French art of living, are giving rise to exceptional pieces. Sacha Lakic, creator of the famous “Bubble” sofa, continues his highly inspired collaboration with the brand by immersing himself in the spirit of the seventies. A contemporary nod to the peace & love years, the “Love” sofa stands out with its boldness, elliptical curves, sensual and fluid lines, and vibrant colour palette.

At the same time, the presence of sofas with mechanisms is becoming more evident, such as the “Lagune” model by Philippe Bouix, with its adjustable backrest, or the “Intemporel” model by Maurizio Manzoni, whose seat and backrest are mobile.

Discreet luxury in preview

In another style and another universe, the Elanta collection, fruit of the first collaboration between Roche Bobois and the French designer Patrick Noguet , a key figure in contemporary design and author, in 2020, of the “Rainbow Chair”, which is now part of the MoMA collections. In this timeless ensemble which gives pride of place to contemporary cabinetmaking, wood and ceramic meet in the curved lines of dining tables, sideboards, television units and consoles, shaped in the elegance of discreet luxury.

“Like most of my projects, Elanta is the result of an encounter with the brand, the meeting of a team and the shared desire to collaborate together, a major and essential condition to stimulate my creativity. For this first collaboration with the brand, I wanted to work on a simple, fair and very elegant collection. Elegance is above all an attitude. Elanta possesses this attitude, that of elegance embodied, recognizable by its architecture and its sense of detail, without vulgarity. I have two professional passions, I love brands and processes, Roche Bobois embodies for me this sweet blend of strategy and creativity. What more could I ask for as a designer?” explains Patrick Norguet, who began his career designing the windows of major luxury brands such as Saint Laurent and Vuitton, thus acquiring expertise in highlighting brand identities.

Art in the service of elegance

But design isn't the preserve of designers, and Roche Bobois likes to combine aesthetics and art by collaborating with artists. A modern vision of the French art of living is fully expressed in the Bamboo Mood collection, developed by Franco-Chinese artist Jiang Qiong Er. This range of seating, furniture, and accessories showcases China's age-old culture and artistic traditions, combined with an avant-garde vision. The traditional Chinese living room is reinvented, offbeat and elegant, in a poetic and soothing atmosphere, with graceful lines inspired by bamboo, a symbol of essential values in Chinese culture, and designed in coral and celadon tones emblematic of Asian decorative arts. A true invitation to meditative relaxation.

Creation and perpetual reinvention

Finally, because creativity is always in motion and cannot be frozen in time, the brand is reinterpreting two of its iconic dining tables this season, bringing a fresh perspective to the emblematic creations of its history. This ability to constantly reinvent itself is illustrated by the reinterpretation of the “Aqua” table by Fabrice Berrux, whose ovoid base in solid marble simulates a drop of water. This season, it has a new wooden top that brings a touch of organic softness to the whole. The “Pulp” table, designed by Catalan designer Eugeni Quitllet, originally made in wood or lacquer finish, is reinvented in a new version in Carrara marble that gives it an almost sculptural dimension.
