"Oniricon" the Accademia del Lusso fashion show that pays homage to Federico Fellini
This year the Accademia del Lusso fashion show in Milan paid homage to the Italian director of "La Dolce Vita". A fashion show that brought the creations of tomorrow's designers to the catwalk.
At the Talent Garden Calabiana in Milan, the Accademia del Lusso celebrated the collections of young designers inspired by the Italian director Federico Fellini . Baptized with the title "Oniricon", the fashion show brought to the catwalk the prêt-à-porter and haute couture creations of the graduates of the academy's triennial, inspired by the masterpieces of the Italian director such as "La Dolce Vita", "La strada" and "Juliet of the spirits". Among the references of the collections, a decadent elegance, the circus atmosphere and the contrasts between reality and imagination emerged. A total of 76 outfits that paraded on the catwalk, designed by 25 students from Milan and 5 students from Rome, divided into three areas - "Funky Town", "Minimal Chic", "Dreamy" - and each creation told a very specific vision with a point of view, transporting the audience into an aesthetic dreamlike journey.
« Academy del Lusso has transformed the Calabiana Talent Garden into a realm of fantasy, where Federico Fellini's dreams come to life through the creations of young designers" Giampiero Mele , Educational Director of Accademia del Lusso « Decadent elegance, circus atmospheres and surreal contrasts dominated the catwalk, while the students let their talent shine thanks to the fine Manteco fabrics ( the students had the privilege of collaborating with the company for the use of fabrics and innovative recycling techniques. Furthermore, Manteco has produced a limited edition label applied to clothes made by students. The event, which will also continue in Rome in Piazza di Spagna after the summer, it enchanted and inspired, celebrating the genius of a master of Italian cinema and the future of fashion in our country. I am very happy with the results of the event which falls within the scope of the Grand Tour Afam research project financed with the Pnrr funds of the public notice 124/2023 of the Ministry of University and Research intended for the internationalization of artistic higher education institutions and musical. The research found in Federico Fellini a fertile argument for promoting Made in Italy and the internationalization of Fine Arts Academies. The Academy del Lusso is doing its part by contributing with this research which will also find diffusion at an international level in the near future."
