A New Form: Alexander McQueen's spring summer 2024 men's collection
Sarah Burton presents the Alexander McQueen Spring Summer 2024 men's collection. A refined celebration of easy-to-wear.
An effortless elegance that takes on a new form. The silhouettes are renewed in the Alexander McQueen spring summer 2024 men's collection . The elaboration of sartorial cuts appears in a more relaxed version, the shapes accompany the softer and more cocooning anatomy, the shoulders are rounded and the waist narrows becoming slimmer. The summer wardrobe presented by Sarah Burton is made up of minimal overcoats, unstructured trench coats, monochromatic suits, shirts and shorts worn with combat boots.
The very fine ceremonial embroideries, decorations and applications inspired by the McQueen archive attract attention. The rendering of knitwear appears even more experimental and three-dimensional, with crochet work (done by hand) of flowers that are inspired by the still life paintings of Dutch Baroque painting. And again an abstract pleated print designed by Simon Ungless, collaborator of the original McQueen team, imprinted on jacquard and embroideries that accompany the anatomy of the body.
