Armani Neve, the fashion show in Sankt Moritz

Are sport and elegance two distinct concepts? Giorgio Armani's sporty and at the same time super chic line, Armani Neve, seems to tell us the opposite with a refined wardrobe to wear both on the ski slopes and on the city streets.

" Sankt Moritz is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and popular mountain destinations in Europe, but it has kept its authenticity, which makes it so special" , these are the words of Giorgio Armani to describe the Swiss town in the canton of Grisons famous for attracting its ski slopes the high society. And precisely in the city that hosted the Winter Olympics twice - 1928 and 1948 - Giorgio Armani brought Armani Neve to the catwalk, a line relaunched four years ago after the success he had with the EA7 sports line.

In the fashion landscape which sees a strong increase in the demand for sports and casual mountain clothing by a medium-high public, the releases of capsule collections dedicated to skiing and inspired by the mountain world are growing - just in the last the weekend, again in Sankt Moritz, the Emilio Pucci by Camille Miceli and Louis Vuitton capsules were presented. Giorgio Armani presents a line which, in the designer's words, differs from the rest of the collections thanks to "the balance between performance and style, and the breadth of the offer, which is dedicated to both skiing and après ski" .

"You will not find bright colors and the selection of fabrics is not limited to the technical ones" the King of fashion told us, who in the perfect minimalist style to which he has accustomed us over the years, paraded the collection on a simple wooden stage , the St. Moritz Olympic stadium as a backdrop. The Armani Neve collection offers a large wardrobe that ranges from purely sporty clothing to that inspired by mountain sports, wearable during après-ski, in an urban context. The puffy jackets and the tight fit of the padded trousers leverage the contrast created on the silhouette, giving a nod to the cool and contemporary appeal of streetwear. The closing of the fashion show with a series of synthetic furs was much appreciated by the audience, which included among others the socialite Nati Abascal , Gabrielle Caunesil and Riccardo Pozzoli , Michelle Hunzicker and Ilary Blasi , the actors Pepe Barroso Silva and Lucas Bravo , the influencer Carlo Sestini and the model Marcos Fecchino - who also launched into some descents on the snowy slopes.

The event was created in collaboration with the Swiss Tourist Board and was designed to minimize its environmental impact. Furthermore, the Group has decided to support with a donation "MortAlive", a Swiss project created for the protection of glaciers and to guarantee their long-term protection all over the world.
