Bikini time: what swimwear trends for this summer 2022?
Tropical heat, the sun at its zenith, and azure sky on the horizon, summer has set in and fashion is following the wave. So we drop the dresses for less fabric… but always with style. Here are the swimwear trends to adopt to be the star all summer long!
The cut-out: less fabric, more fashion
Even less fabric with the cut-out trend already spotted on the spring/summer 2022 fashion shows. Between an asymmetrical cut and cut-out pieces, the swimsuit is also a fashion statement. We opt for openwork one-pieces, notched bikinis, and we let our curves show a little more than usual.
The hook: to weave links
The crochet trend continues to forge links with swimwear this summer. Coming straight from Coachella, of course, crochet dresses, skirts and pants inspired the season's swimsuits. Chanel, Chloé or even Acne Studio have seized on its success to draw us the essential fashions for the next few lazy days.
Thongs: sexy but risky
With the big comeback of the triangle swimsuit, we found a way to elevate the simplistic cut of this wardrobe essential by adding straps! The more laps you do, the sexier it gets. To be tied on the belly, on the side, at the top or at the bottom, we decorate the body with all these vines, and we highlight its shapes. It works for everyone!
Advice: we avoid diving with it.
The floral: in all its forms
Signature print of the 70's, timeless in summer fashion, the floral print crowds the swimwear of the season. Difficult to miss, between the 2022 fashion shows and our Instagram feeds, it is certain that the floral bikini is omnipresent this season. Having become a timeless summer item, the print comes in a multitude of shapes and colors: pastel shades, ultra-colorful, mini flowers or XXL format, out it girls are already fans.
Pearly: to shade the mermaids
Golden, silver and above all colorful, we opt for the party girl's swimsuit, and we bring the party back to the water's edge. In lurex, glitter, iridescent or even pearly, this season's swimsuits give us the ait of mermaids or disco balls. We don't hesitate to combine this trend with cut-outs and straps, but it's even better with a minimalist cut!
Tip: you don't have to wait to be a little tanned to be sublimated by the reflections of the swimsuit.
