BULGARI presented the new Aeterna jewellery collection in Rome
Rome, an endless source of inspiration for Bulgari , was chosen to present Aeterna , its new high jewellery collection. It includes more than 500 works, including high jewellery and watches, as well as bags and perfumes of the highest class. The stunning show celebrates the 140th anniversary of the Roman Maison Bulgari , an important milestone in its history.
Emphasizing the uniqueness of the event, Bulgari presented an exquisite, extravagant production in a location made exclusively available to the House for this momentous occasion, in Rome's Baths of Diocletian , one of the most stunning ancient architectural complexes in the world and a beautiful open-air museum of the Eternal City, part of the National Museum Rome . Considered the most grandiose baths of ancient Rome, spread over 13 hectares and accommodating up to 3,000 people at a time, the breathtaking baths, built between 298 and 306 AD, are decorated with magnificent sculptures and incredible ruins.
International guests, including Bulgari brand ambassadors Anne Hathaway , Priyanka Chopra Jonas , Liu Yifei , Shu Qi , Hikari Mori and Alessandro Gassman , enjoyed a journey into eternity where the layered beauty of the Baths of Diocletian, the timeless beauty of Bulgari high jewellery creations and the emphatic modernity of the event transcends boundaries time.
To mark the special occasion, Bvlgari Ambassador Priyanka Chopra Jonas wore the Serpenti Aeterna necklace, the most precious piece of high jewellery ever created by the Roman Maison. The incredible necklace, consisting of seven flawless D-clarity diamonds totaling 140 carats, one for each year of the brand's history, and 698 baguette diamonds totaling 61.81 carats, required over 2,800 diamonds, demonstrating an outstanding combination of creativity, experience and courage, values, which have always defined the brand's vision.
The show, whose stylist was Carine Roitfeld , pleased those present with a truly iconic line-up of models: Mariacarla Boscono , Blesnya Minier , Elisabetta Dessi , Isabella Rossellini , Carla Bruni and Giacomo Cavalli .
In honour of the significant event, Bvlgari presented Rome with an immersive installation “Vista Aeterna” , created by Dutch designer Sabine Marcelis under the patronage of the Bvlgari Foundation . From May 19 to June 15, this art piece will decorate the Piazza di Spagna, offering a modern interpretation of the urban landscape of Rome. The installation consists of twelve travertine columns decorated with rotating mirrors of different colours. The mirrors move continuously throughout the day, reflecting the path of the sun from dawn to dusk. As they rotate, they capture and refract sunlight, projecting a spectrum of warm, sunny hues onto the surrounding space. This ever-changing scene is a continuous celebration of the light of the Eternal City and its architectural heritage.
