Cherry red: the colour for Autumn 2023

This autumn is all about one colour: cherry red. Whether shoes, jackets or bags - with this colour accent the perfect icing on the cake.

It wasn't that long ago that we were sweating and trying to wear as little fabric as possible. Barbiecore, summer dresses and sandals accompanied us through the summer. Now the temperatures are steadily dropping and one thing is for sure: it's finally time for autumn fashion and this autumn is going to be red!

Red already dominated on the catwalks for the autumn/winter collections, so it was already clear: It's the colour for this autumn. Designers such as Prabal Gurung, Tory Burch and Ferragamo showed how the trend works: from a monochrome look to colour accents, everything is included.

What is the best way to combine this trend?

Red is a very eye-catching color - it represents power, strength and sex appeal - and as a result it often draws a lot of attention. You can take advantage of this and spice up a simple outfit. Influencers already demonstrated it last autumn: as a pop of colour, the trend is perfect for giving an otherwise simple look a little more life. With the help of a red bag or red shoes, a completely different outfit can be created in just a few simple steps. And anyway: autumn fashion doesn't have to be black and brown - it can use more colour.

Red leather in all variations is particularly suitable for the season on the streets: jackets and coats are the perfect statement pieces and can be worn on any occasion. It is simpler to choose accessories in cherry red and to coordinate them: for example, red shoes and a scarf with brown and white clothing.

Less is often more and especially with red it is important to keep the balance. It's a strong colour - even small accents, like red nails or a lipstick catch the eye and that's why it's so much fun to combine it.
