Emporio Armani and Our Legacy, The Collaboration.
The Emporio Armani Our Legacy Work Shop collection brings together the essence of Italy and Sweden, blending the past with the contemporary. This project juxtaposes workwear, formalwear, and casual styles, featuring unmistakable silhouettes and unexpected twists.
A union of two different worlds but with a unique style: the collaboration between the two brands gives life to the Emporio Armani Our Legacy Work Shop , a project that combines the relaxed style of Emporio Armani and the Scandi approach of Our Legacy for a collection with a 90's flavour. Start point? A print of a cat. During the meeting with the Emporio team, the founders of Our Legacy Hallin and Nying brought out an old Armani advertising campaign which portrayed a model holding a cat, hence the idea of including the very dear animal to King George, as a print within the collection.
The garments were created keeping in mind concepts such as "timeless", "genderless" with shearling jackets, Donnie Darko-style leather coats, tailored suits and overcoats in structured wool fabrics. The trousers are in corduroy but also in denim or jersey which represent the most casual part of the collection. The shirts range from classic stripes to warm plaids, up to the more artistic prints designed specifically. Accessories such as sunglasses, leather gloves, wool caps and silk ties, also here with the cat print, are inevitable.
The campaign was imagined and shot by photographer Mark Borthwick, while Gustaf Holtenäs illustrated and animated the video that accompanied the launch of the most anticipated menswear collaboration of the season.
