Stella McCartney and the "Horse Power" show
Inside the l' Ècole Militaire, the Stella McCartney show came to life in an equestrian context. The models parade in the Manège de l'Ècole Militaire, the oldest riding school in France, the whole show is dedicated to launching a cruelty free message, the collection uses 89% substitute materials, including no leather, fur or feathers.
For the love of animals. The Stella McCartney Fall Winter 2023 2024 show entitled "Horse Power" celebrates the beauty of horses trained with body language and without constraints, just as the instructor Jean-Francois Pignon has always done, who has been educating horses for 30 years with this methodology. The collection is made up of classic Stella McCartney garments: masculine suits made up of oversized blazers and wide trousers. This time there are also corsets, and again double-breasted jackets in tandem with midi skirts, while minidresses with asymmetrical cutouts are back. The wool of the oversize sweaters comes from certified farms that act in animal welfare, the denim suits are made with certified fabrics.
The palette is tinged with warm earthy colours, such as red and brown, which is presented in all its nuances. The tailoring and minimal allure of the maison can be seen in the long double-breasted white coats, with matching slip dresses with lace details, accompanied by the iconic bag: the Falabella made of vegan materials, maxi robe coat with piebald motifs and cocktail dresses with images of printed horses complete the animal-lover look.
