Gucci's Latest High Jewellery Collection Celebrates the Four Seasons
Titled "Gucci Allegoria," the Italian house's new high jewellery collection celebrates the beauty of nature's constant transformability.
The collection starts off with spring, the unique designs inspired by the joyousness and light-heartedness of the season. Bold hues reminiscent of full blooms are ever-present. A standout necklace rests in a gorgeous 226-carat green tourmaline crafted with surrounding star motifs and diamond baguettes. Also capturing the eye is a necklace with a 161-carat pink tourmaline encircled by numerous layers of diamonds, topped off with its chain embellished with 72 tourmalines of 88 carats.
Summer embodies the outbursts of nature's life cycle, interpreted with more saturated hues. Emeralds, spinels, and Paraiba tourmalines all capture Gucci's invocation of the summer season. Warmer, muted tones with delicateness carry into autumn, materialized by stones such as yellow sapphire, pink tourmaline, and mandarin garnet.
Winter brings the cycle full circle, as snow's quietness stands opposite to its spring counterpart's joyous rampant energy. Milky opals and iridescent diamonds express the winter feeling, though the subtle, kaleidoscopic coloured stones hint at the return of spring once the cycle renews. Beyond the magnificent designs, Gucci Allegoria is one of a kind with its European-cut stones that evoke a vintage enticement. The unique cuts are an ode to the art deco period, an era characterized by a harmonious, vivacious, luxurious, and geometric design style — elements seen in the jewellery collection.
