How to find the perfect pair of jeans
The perfect pair of jeans is a must-have in any wardrobe. Between waist size, waist and leg length, it's extremely difficult to find one that fits really well. That's why we show what you should pay attention to when buying.
The material
Quality is very important so that you get as much out of your purchase as possible. But how do you recognise good quality? Good denim is relatively heavy and strong - so the fabric and trousers retain their shape. In addition, the percentage of stretch should not be too high, 2-10% depending on personal preferences. The more elastane, the more freedom of movement and mobility.
A closer look
You should take a close look at small things in particular: What do the buttons and zippers look like? Are they placed correctly and made of a good material? Are the seams sewn neatly? Such details generally show how well a piece has been crafted. The best thing to do is to take a close look at the pants in the store and only then decide whether you want to buy them.
The right cut
There are so many different styles of pants that it can sometimes be overwhelming to find the right one for you. Skinny, slim, flared, straight cut, wide cut, etc. are all so different and look different on different body types. But with a little trial and error you can find the cut or cuts that suit you best and what you feel comfortable in. Once you know which cut you like most, you can look for it straight away and make your search in the store much easier.
The right size
Keyword: trying on. In most stores the sizes are very different, so you can hardly avoid trying them on. You shouldn't force yourself into a size that only fits halfway because it says a certain number - the number doesn't matter, it's important how it fits. It's best to take several sizes into the cabin and try them out. Maybe one size will fit better after all.
The position of the trouser pockets
Of course, a good pair of jeans also depends on how they fit and how the butt is highlighted. There's one thing that makes a huge difference here: the pockets. Size and position are crucial. If they lie below the crease of the buttocks, it can visually pull the butt down, so they should lie more in the middle. If they are closer together, you can make your butt appear smaller, and the same can be said the other way around: pockets that are further apart make it look wider. In addition, the size can visually make the bottom smaller or larger: small pockets make it look smaller and vice versa.
Matches the wardrobe
Even though jeans are an all-rounder item of clothing, not every cut and length goes exactly the same with everything. For the best look, everything should form an overall picture. This also totally depends on the rest of your clothing style and the clothes you combine with it. The way the pants fall on the shoes is often overlooked and it's little things like this that make the jeans really shine.
Feel-good factor
Lastly, the jeans have to fit you. The cut, the wash, etc… you should just feel comfortable! Don't forget your own taste. It may be that, according to advice, a certain cut or similar makes your figure look best, but if you like a different look more, you should listen to your gut feeling.
