JIL SANDER THE WOMEN AND MEN SHOW SPRING SUMMER 2023
In a field on the edge of the city, Jil Sander sets up a secret garden inhabited by flowers, plants and a walkway with an expanse of lava sand. The couple Lucie and Luke Meier bring to the stage a women's wardrobe that copes with the men's one and vice versa. The focus remains on minimal clothing, the absolute core of the brand that tends to renew from collection to collection with new interpretations, but this time they do it by creating a difficult moment to forget. It starts to rain and all the models of the cast parade covering themselves with a gray umbrella, and although with the sun the show would have obtained a different result, with the rain the fashion show has taken on a completely unexpected soul. In the Spring Summer 2023 women's and men 's collection we find clouds made of mirrors applied with visible embroidery on kilts and minimal-cut tops, dresses with cascades of feather fringes, sequins or beads and the presence of the jewel that adds the unmistakable touch of design to the look.
An idea of renewed tailoring emerges, in which the attention shifts to the boxy fit and the cleanliness of the detail: long and short sleeveless jackets, structured blazers, sleeveless shirts and wide trousers supported by a sash. The essentiality of the brand coexists with a couture approach driven by decoration and manufacturing but everything happens with an authentic approach, without forcing and without the need to show off.
