Gigi Hadid interprets the new Miu Miu campaign with the Arcadie and Wander bags
Miuccia Prada presents the new Arcadie bag and the Wander with a new campaign shot by Steven Meisel and inspired by the life and spirit of American artist Margaret Keane.
«Between reality and surreality» but always referring to the aesthetic universe of the Miu Miu Girls. Miuccia Prada unveils a new campaign that celebrates the sophisticated matelassé of Miu Miu bags, especially the already well-known Wander bag and the new entry Arcadie. Spearheading the campaign is supermodel Gigi Hadid shot and shot by Steven Meisel with signature styling by Lotta Volkova and creative direction by Edward Quarmby.
This time the inspiration comes from the life and spirit of the American artist Margaret Keane, who has been able to create an intimate and feminine aesthetic language in line with the Miu Miu essence. Likewise, Keane's indomitable character, his freedom, his history, form affinities with the unmistakable attitude of the Miu Miu woman, from the gestures, moods and emotions that Gigi Hadid personifies in the campaign.
In the Arcadie and Wander bag campaign, idealized environments are recreated with structured and real brushstrokes and accompany the ripples of Miu Miu's matelassé. In a series of portraits, purged of any kind of ostentatious formalism - which are intimate and direct - Gigi Hadid invites us to take part in this imaginary between the real and the metaphysical. Because, as Miuccia Prada teaches, the everyday can be exceptional and the ordinary can become extraordinary. With a Miu Miu bag, even more.
