Miu Miu's Endcore for Spring Summer 2025
Under this nebulous term, "a widespread feeling that things we once considered immutable and fundamental facts are now disappearing."
For her Miu Miu Spring/Summer 2025 show, creative director Miuccia Prada delves into a deep reflection on Endcore — a slightly apocalyptic concept, capturing the feeling that the end is approaching, but that strangely, it never seems to reach us... and so we continue to wait indefinitely. The designer imagines a set up where an "after" newspaper is printed and distributed, imagined by the artist Goshka Macuga , comprising dozens of QR codes, each referring to different texts.
After taking in the multitude of information on offer, it was time for the long-awaited silhouettes, where we found underwear worn as outerwear; briefs-pants sometimes in white cotton, sometimes with graphic sequined embroidery; sports tracksuits; cut-out swimsuits; uniforms reminiscent of those of private schools; 70s geometric prints taken from a spring-summer 2005 collection of the House; western belts; a joyful mishmash that reflects the attitudes of our era, where anything goes. The cherry on the cake? An unexpected podium, including the beloved Cara Delevingne , Hilary Swank and Willem Dafoe.
