The mannequins wore these pants not as underwear, but as an upper garment over black see-through tights, and combined them with classic jackets, blouses, tight-fitting sweaters or leather half-coats. Although fashionistas tried to tame silk panties and pantyhose that year, this trend did not stick and received more criticism than praise.
Italian fashion brand Calzedonia, known for its women's underwear, tights and socks, recently helped popularize the "tights only" trend. For the festive season, they presented a special collection of evening tights, and these tights were worn by fashionistas in Instagram photos without any skirts or shorts, combined with longer buttoned jackets, cropped blouses or bralettes.
Fashion house "Dolce & Gabbana" also offered to create looks without bottom clothes for the festive season, that is, to combine only tights, fancy jackets and high heels with stylish patterned tights.
Now, the 'one pantyhose' trend is also moving into everyday fashion, where black or patterned pantyhose are worn with ultra-short shorts or knickers, combined with military-style boots, loafers or sports shoes, and oversized warm sweaters and coats.
