Resortwear label Oséree opens luxe Ibiza Town store

With its louche 1970s appeal, Oséree’s ritzy resort wear wouldn’t have looked out of place in Slim Aarons’ images of Ibiza’s Hacienda Na Xamena. A flashback to the heady decadence of that era, the label’s flamboyant High Summer 2022 collection also draws inspiration from ‘90s pop, by way of a flourish of gemstones, sequins and feathers. Bright colours, feminine shapes and rich detailing collide in a series of statement swimwear and outerwear designs.

Recalling some of Ibiza’s most glamorous years, it’s an eye-catching style that resonates with the vibrant creativity still embedded in the island today. So, it’s fitting that the brand has just launched a new flagship store here, complementing a sister boutique in Tulum. Located in Ibiza Town’s iconic port, just yards from the glossy mega yachts that line its waters, the elegant neutral interior is a neat offset for the kaleidoscopic pops of colour that dangle from the rails. Bikinis, kaftans and dresses clamour for attention, each more sensational than the last. 

Taking its name from the French verb oser – to dare – Oséree’s bold, sensual edge comes as no surprise. While its name originates from the French, the label’s designs are securely rooted in Cavallin and Vinci’s Italian heritage. Its pieces are made in Italy, drawing on the craftsmanship the country is renowned for. Playful and vivacious Oséree may be, yet there’s a sophistication underpinning its sassiness that elevates the label into a fashion player to be reckoned with. Razor-sharp cuts, second- skin tailoring and luxurious fabrics are fashioned with artisanal skill and precision. The High Summer 2022 collection stays true to these label signatures, while riffing on its retro influences. High-cut one-piece swimsuits, microkinis and bikinis in metallic-accented fabrics and the label’s new high-shine laminated mesh pay homage to the disco era. These same rainbow-hued materials also play out across the collection’s outerwear – covering everything from fuseaux suits to bi-colour wide-leg trousers and crop T-shirts – for a complete head-to-toe look. High-waisted culottes and relaxed pyjama suits continue the theme, alongside statement dresses that range from long backless styles to a figure-hugging midi-tube and a close-cut kaftan, replete with cinched waist and flared sleeves.
