Roberto Cavalli died at 83 being one of the great visionaries of fashion. At the age of 30, Cavalli launched his first Prêt-à-Porter collection in Paris, standing out as one of the pioneers who transformed prints into leather and developed a unique aesthetic.

Although the cause of death has not been revealed, international sources say that the Italian died at his home in Florence, alongside his partner Sandra Bergman Nilsonn, with whom he had been with for 15 years. The couple had a son, Giorgio, two years ago, Cavalli's sixth heir, who also leaves Tommaso and Cristiana, from his first marriage with Silvanella Giannoni, and Robert, Rachele and Daniele, from his relationship with Eva Duringer.
