Spring in Oasi, Zegna's spring summer 2023

The effortless elegance imprinted by Alessandro Sartori in recent seasons is also reconfirmed for Zegna 's spring summer 2023 collection : formal jackets give way to sophisticated overshirts, trousers gain width and ease without losing an iota of style.

Shirts are easily transformed into flowing and refined tops. « Lightness is one of the keywords of the collection », explains Sartori a Cristina Manfredi , « to be combined with a new concept of color that ranges from white and dusty pink, cream, honey, mocha, walnut to arrive at a black, played between alternating glossy and opaque », in practice an ode to the colors of nature of Oasi Zegna , also found in the prints made from enlarged photographs of its woods. « There is more and more a green mindset in my stylistic planning », adds the designer, « we are developing a global thinking that is born right here ».

In short, the Born in Oasis he speaks of is not an effective claim. « In designing the collection, I start from an aesthetic, then I design the right material to make it concrete, also taking into account an important goal that we have set ourselves, which is to reach at least 50% of totally traceable fabrics. A bit like in Formula 1, the show becomes the starting point for a research which then cascades over the entire production ». In short, a consistent, environmentally conscious and damn chic approach to design.
