Taylor Russell, Canadian actress and member of the "Luigi De Laurentiis" jury, wore a Chanel dress on the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival . The dress is composed of a transparent hand-painted corset embroidered with pearls and sequins with an embroidered crinoline overskirt and a mermaid-style white silk chiffon underskirt, a replica of look 76 from the Chanel Haute Couture Spring-Summer 1993. This look required 900 hours of meticulous work and 70,000 embroidery elements. Designed by Karl Lagerfeld, it was presented in January 1993 as a look from a collection that the Kaiser of fashion defined as "transvisual" because it mixed several images together in a single silhouette. On the catwalk, Claudia Schiffer wore it with a very soft and vaporous hairstyle, unlike the jaunty one chosen by Taylor Russell.
The actress, who with her performance in Luca Guadagnino 's film Bones and All, along with co-star Timothée Chalamet, won the Marcello Mastroianni Award for Emerging Actress at the 79th Venice International Film Festival, and arrived in the lagoon city as a member of the international jury chaired by Italian film critic Gianni Canova Venezia Opera Prima “Luigi De Laurentiis”.
