The Diesel effect strikes again, transforming the fashion show into a mega party for the public, who not only was able to attend the show but also see their favorite celebrities up close.

The Diesel fashion show at Milan Fashion Week - open to the public upon reservation (immediately sold out in a few minutes) - was not only a great rave but a moment of sharing for the entire community of Diesel fans who, thanks to the intuitions of Glenn Martens, see the brand will grow in popularity.

Heavy Italian rain poured down on Diesel's outdoor show at the Scalo Farini, where a very long, elevated catwalk dominated against a backdrop of intense techno music and digital screens with the brand's logo standing out against a fiery red background. With over 5,000 people present, Diesel's spring summer 2024 fashion show was nothing short of spectacular thanks also to the techno soundtrack curated by Senjan Jansen which helped create a rave atmosphere.

Models walked in the rain, wearing bleached paint-effect T-shirts with artfully distressed trousers. The fabric is worked to be ruined - a devoré or crumbled effect, they look like garments coming out of a compression wardrobe, as if they had been folded and folded back on themselves where the folds become slits in the fabric. Balls of denim develop on dresses and sweaters to give life to three-dimensional jeans, while layers of tulle or latex veils reveal the skin. The prints of dresses, tops and even socks are reminiscent of old posters and go in tandem on fishnet skirts or nylon jackets, while faded noraks seemed to be the post-evening outerwear.

The final part of the show featured spray-painted models wearing all-silver or gold, alien-like looks from another dimension with body-hugging tops, skirts and body-hugging dresses in sheer, reflective material. For Diesel's leather releases, the pieces were set ablaze by flames, with the "D" graphic blackened by smoke.

The Belgian designer Glenn Martens continues to bring the magic of Diesel to the general public, with a collection made up of 73 looks, playing with what are now the characteristics of the "destroyed" and frayed effect denim that he introduced since the first season under the his creative direction. Among the guests Jaden Smith, Charlie XCX, Aron Piper, Luke Newton and the Italian singers Achielle Lauro, Coma Cose, Dargen D'Amico, Lazza.
