The spring/summer 2024 collection is on show in the Pala Magliano
The fresh winner of the Karl Lagerfeld award at the LVMH Prize 2023, presents the spring summer 2024 show at Milan Fashion Week.
And his: " It's a beautiful feeling to be seen" at the reception of Karl Lagerfeld's prize at the LVMH Prize 2023 has remained imprinted in everyone's mind. And now Luca Magliano has transformed the Palazzo del Ghiaccio in Milan into a construction site wrapped in white sheets, spectators of a cheeky collection, but more relaxed than usual. It is like with the spring summer 2024 collection Magliano no longer needed to demonstrate the potential of the brand, but to thank and acknowledge the support given by people. But in all this there is no lack of bite, provocation and the determination that distinguishes the brand.
"Five minutes on the catwalk are worth more than a lifetime of analysis" Bruno Pompa
Magliano's spring summer 2024 show is a wardrobe made up of workwear suits, men wrapped in drapes with trains, windproof jackets and slipped tailored suits. The silhouettes are composed, often obtained with the overlapping of garments on several levels. Then everything is rearranged and accessorised with that 'Magliano-style' taste with trimmings, handbags, bumbags, saddlebags, intricate chains with coins, knotted fabrics and identification bands on which the wording Miss Magliano appears.
The study on the Magliano gait is relaxed this time: someone walks by with their hands in their pockets, and some hold a lit cigarette between their fingers and others like curious passers-by with their hands gathered behind their backs recalling the cliché of pensioners outside the building site to observe the progress of the work in progress. And finally to the words of "Amico Giorno" by Loredana Bertè the models parade, first on the raised peasserella and then making a slalom between the seats, waving gratefully from time to time and interacting with those present.
