With a new collection called Maison Valentino Essentials , Pierpaolo Piccioli , creative director of the Italian house, is campaigning for a return to stylistic accuracy, rethinking preconceived ideas frozen in time, exploring new areas. Thus freeing the male dressing room from constraints and limits that he considers obsolete. Make way for accuracy and purity !  

In men's fashion, the permanence of the essence of style is good, but not too much. Here, the pieces have been redesigned in substance, that of quality, but more necessarily in form. Maison Valentino Essentials is the result of a deep reflection on contemporary masculinity, justified by the times. Formalwear , more comfortable and fluid, has freed itself from connotations of backward-looking gender and attitude. Reduced to their bare essentials , Valentino Garavani 's blazers, bermuda shorts, scarf blouses, coats, pajamas, suits and accessories express both topicality and timelessness, becoming tools for non-conformist individual expression, “uniforms of non-uniformity”, which is the very essence of what fashion stands for according to Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli . To do this, the creator combed through Italian films of the 50s and 60s, and their creative subcultures, in order to retain the best. What he calls an “exalted timelessness, intrinsic to the rituals of couture, and to all the humanism they represent”.

Attitude with a capital A is the watchword here: if that changes, everything changes. It's a matter of perception. And as if to better convey the message, all of the campaign visuals for this new collection were generated by artificial intelligence, augmenting the human experience without replacing it.
