A wunderkammer, also known as the cabinets of curiosities, is a storage space that dates back to mid-16th-century Europe with the goal of archiving wondrous objects. Early museums organized their treasures into four categories: Artificialia, Naturalia, Scientifica, Exotica. Later, they began to exhibit artifacts from multiple eras, and now they present a contemporary interpretation of the traditional wunderkammer. The works on display range from vintage televisions to paintings to retro stereos, in an effort to preserve and present a diverse selection of works.
In an homage to these ideas, a group of creatives gets lost in this season's most inspiring curiosities.
