Brooklyn native Albert Ayal's platform has quickly emerged as the place to discover fashion's next rising star. Yet it's been the celebrity stylist pushing the underground designer movement with Kendall Jenner, Jennifer Lopez, and Dua Lipa all sporting the latest fashion has to offer.
And while the established houses continue to dominate, it's been the emerging labels reinventing menswear. With each collection, these new designers continue to establish their DNA, finding what makes their brands uniquely them. And this season the rookies have decided, androgyny is in. A coveted collaboration with Dior creative director Kim Jones has solidified Californian Eli Russel Linnetz's status as fashion's latest rising design star. A film student turned designer, Linnetz launched his namesake brand in 2018 and quickly made headlines with A-listers A$AP Rocky and Hailey Bieber spotted wearing the label. Reinventing menswear, the up-and-coming designer embraced feminity and showcased sheer tops, mirco-shorts, and an array of pastel hues as Dior's latest guest designer. And as one of this year's finalists for the coveted LVMH Prize, Linnetz is one to watch.
No/Faith Studios
German founder and designer Luis Dobblegarten is making a name for himself at just 21 years old. The label works within a monochromatic scheme with a focus on inventive dramatic oversizing and unique silhouettes. With an almost apocalyptic feel, a mesh vest, distressed denim dresses, and a collection of newly launched flared jeans perfectly pair feminity with masculinity.
Egonlab
Designers Florentin Glemarec and Kevin Nompeix are breaking the rules. Founded in inclusivity the label juxtaposes feminity and masculinity in a way few brands dare to.
