Mahmood 's runway debut at New York Fashion Week came this week, confirming the Milanese singer-songwriter's growing connection with fashion. He attended designer Willy Chavarria 's spring summer 2025 show , wearing a look that caught the media's attention, once again demonstrating his versatility in knowing how to alternate his figure, on and off the stage. Last February, the Italian singer had already taken part in a project by the American designer, being part of the cast of the video "Safe from harm" ,   a short film that questions very current issues such as gender identity, orientation, civil rights.

Willy Chavarria chose Mahmood to enhance the rebellious spirit of his brand. The singer, two-time winner of the Sanremo Festival, eighteenth outing of the show, wore a total black look: leather vest and oversized cargo pants, maxi bag, bold glasses and a cap with the writing "Willy".

The show by the American designer originally from California, entitled "América", was dedicated to the working class and immigrants who built the United States by chasing the American Dream. After his debut for the Burberry autumn winter 2022-2023 show, the singer-songwriter returned to the catwalk, proving himself to be an ambassador of diversity.
