Valentino's men's fashion show will open Milan Fashion Week

A new edition of the men's fashion week is coming and Valentino will open the new round up of men's fashion shows this season with the menswear collection called "Valentino The Narratives". The location chosen by the creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli is the State University of Milan, a symbolic place in the city, for the Maison - which continues to support local communities and the new generations by creating cultural learning opportunities with institutions and universities - and a invitation to students to experience the moment of the fashion show live.

For Valentino, Milan is the key to history and the road to innovation. It is precisely in this city that the founder Valentino Garavani had staged his first men's fashion show in January 1985. Today the brand returns to the Italian fashion capital, led by Pierpaolo Piccioli who intends to reformulate the men's dress code taking into consideration the heritage and history of the brand.

This season, the Maison has abandoned the idea of the co-ed collection by combining the male and female wardrobes but the Maison reiterated with a press release that: «the category will continue to dialogue with women's clothing, menswear will now be placed on a pedestal, symbol of Piccioli's redefinition of masculine codes and of the growing importance of the category by the commercial branch of the Maison, led by the managing director Jacopo Venturini».
