Cabaret at El Silencio, June 30
Under the watchful eye of boundary-breaking creative director Ali Mahdavi, Cala Molí’s sweet spot El Silencio launches its first venture into cabaret on June 30. Set to run nightly throughout the summer season, the show promises a contemporary reinvention of the cabaret concept, fusing influences from the 19th-century French bordel Le Chabanais with the Spanish Movida, alongside Mahdavi’s vision of Ibiza as a place of sensuality and freedom, the cabaret is an erotically charged show that he describes as a ‘love affair between Ibiza and Paris’.
Rumors and Palmarama at Playa Soleil, June 30 and July 2
If beaches could tell stories, then this slice of Playa d’en Bossa could write a book. Opened on the site of the mythical Bora Bora, newly minted Playa Soleil launches the first in a series of summer parties this weekend, with Guy Gerber’s longstanding Rumors party kicking off on Friday evening followed by retro-inspired Palmarama - headlined by Swiss Chilean superstar Luciano - on Sunday afternoon. In old-school Bora-Bora style, Palmarama will be followed by an intimate afterhours in the beach bar’s bijous nightclub, rechristened the Maison Musique.
