NFL announces Rihanna as Super Bowl attraction

Rihanna will make a special appearance at the grand finale of the 2022-2023 Super Bowl season

Almost 6 years after her last live performance, Rihanna is finally back to singing ! The NFL has just announced the singer as headlining the traditional Super Bowl LVII halftime show, which will take place next year on February 12, 2023.

To tell the news, Riri posted a photo where she holds a football. The performance will be held at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, United States. Now 34 years old, Rihanna already performed in 2010 at the opening of Super Bowl XLIV, between the Saints and Colts teams, when she was just 21 years old.

However, in 2018, she reportedly turned down a new offer from the NFL, in support of player Colin Kaepernick, a former quarterback who kneeled during the United States anthem in protest against police violence and racial injustice. Subsequent to the act, Colin was expelled from the league.
