VMAs 2022: See the best looks from the red carpet
Artists like Lizzo, Taylor Swift, Anitta and Lil Nas X walked the VMAs red carpet
It took place last Sunday (28), in New Jersey, the "MTV Music Video Awards". The award honors the best music videos of the year and is filled with iconic performances that often go down in history. But another hallmark of the VMAs is the red carpet, as celebrities tend to bet on daring looks full of personality.
Taylor Swift, Lil Nas X, Lizzo, Jack Harlow, BLACKPINK, Nicki Minaj, and our "Girl From Rio", Anitta, were some of the names that were present at this year's awards and did not go unnoticed.
The first to cross the red carpet was singer Lizzo. Using Jean Paul Gaultier and Jennifer Fisher face jewelry, the singer bet on volume and also on some trends, such as the use of gloves.
As is tradition, the VMA's red carpet tends to deliver different looks, with riskier and less traditional choices. Lil Nas X, for example, is an expert at this. The singer used Harris Reed for the mat and stopped the awards show. The look full of black feathers and a huge ornament on the head, drew attention, leaving its mark on the night.
Already Taylor Swift came a little more classic, but still, daring for the style of the singer. Wearing Oscar de La Renta, the dress full of stones and a generous neckline in the back surprised even the singer's fans.
And our "Girl From Rio" had a perfect night. In addition to winning the VMA award for a Brazilian artist, in the "Best Latin" category, and performing for the first time by a Brazilian artist on the VMA's main stage, the singer walked the entire red carpet. The dress signed by Schiaparelli featured an ornate corset with a fitted skirt.
Another that debuted at the awards was the band Maneskin. Like good rockers, the group bet on the not-so-basic black from Gucci and on trends such as strategic cuts and shiny black. All without losing the identity of each of the band.
And speaking of a group, the BLACKPINK girls also wore black. The four members combined the looks, but all very different from each other. The looks were signed by Dior, Chanel and Saint Lauren.
Chlöe Bailey, half of the duo Chlöe X Halle, was from Zigman. The dress with a lot of glitter and cutouts, has a futuristic design, the face of the award!
Meanwhile, Sofia Carson was more classic, with a Carolina Herrera, highlighting the detail on the head, almost like a veil.
