L'Officiel: When and how did you launch your brand?

Drew Curry: In 2020, in the midst of a pandemic. I felt it was time for me to open a new chapter, launching my brand. I had been designing clothes since the age of 18, and yet I had never really asked myself the question before. I was more in a form of personal journey, I let myself be carried away. AIREI is this new chapter.

LO: For what reason(s) do some people already like it?

DC: I hope it's for the depth, the emotion, and who knows maybe the spirituality it gives them.

LO: What is your greatest achievement?

DC: To have been able to always make a living from what I loved to do. The rest is just bonus.

LO: How will this SS24 season be different from previous ones?

DC: It will be more specific. I thought of it and created it in a much more distinct, restrained, almost ascetic way. With strength and perseverance, and I wanted that to be felt in every room. I plunged much deeper into my emotions this time than I had ever done before. It's a dark collection, but extremely positive!

LO: What passages to remember?

DC: The first and last looks of a collection are often the most important, and even if they are not necessarily my favourites, they should be remembered because they alone sum up the whole spirit of a season.
