Oceans without borders
A team of experts from the maritime and hospitality industries embark on an extraordinary adventure: ULYSSIA , a one-of-a-kind residential superyacht, designed by Frank Binder
The 320-metre-long masterpiece, designed by architect Espen Øino and built by Meyer Werft, offers 133 residences and 22 suites with five-star amenities. Each residence features sea views, private terraces and customisable interiors from a selection of world-renowned designers. “The initial goal, and it remains the same, was to create a true community at sea for those who want to enjoy all the quality of superyacht living, but without the burden of managing a personal yacht,” says Espen Øino.
On board ULYSSIA you will find a yacht club and dive center, indoor and outdoor pools, a medical center, a full spa, a gourmet market, a wine cellar and a cigar bar. Entertainment areas include paddle and pickleball courts, a theater, an art studio, and even educational facilities for young people.
Naval architect Øino wants to “create a space that remains intimate, and on a grand scale. How do we make ULYSSIA not seem too imposing, while still giving each resident the space they need? To achieve this, we divided the ship into different quarters and designed the public decks in a modular way – they are actually a succession of small spaces. The amenities were designed to be both inside and outside, allowing the yacht to remain alive.”
