Morpheus8 Machine

This mega machine is currently one of the most hyped solutions on the market and popular with stars such as Kim Kardashian. I spoke with skin expert Robyn Hogarty, owner of Skinsthetics, for an in-depth run down on this miracle machine.

‘Morpheus8 is the gold standard in fractional radio frequency and is the only way to tighten skin from a tissue level without surgery. The 24-carat-gold plated acupuncture needles are projected into the skin, where they release radio frequency energy. This coupling of needle trauma and heat energy is a doubly effective method for inducing new collagen fibres to form. Collagen is essential to having tight, firm, plump skin. Not only does it create plump skin but it can reduce fat in the neck, jowl and buccal fat areas of the face. This reduces the fat in volume but also acts like a shrink wrap to tighten the tissue.’

Downtime can range from two days to two weeks and the treatment is suitable for ages 30-35 and above.

Skinsthetics is based in Liverpool, United Kingdom.

Hydrafacial.

I personally love this machine as my skin is oily and I suffer from congestion. This is one of the only things that makes it feel spotlessly clean without drying it out. I spoke with skin expert Sophie of Sophie’s Skin Lab who also loves the machine.

‘In my opinion Hydrafacial is the best regular facial for optimum skin health. The vortex fusion technology of the wand allows the machine to remove excess oil, dirt, dead skin cells and blocked pores from the surface of the skin. It also allows vitamins and hydration to be infused into the skin. The result is clear, fresh, healthy skin with no downtime whatsoever.’

Suitable for all ages with zero downtime.

LED Light Therapy.

I’m sure you’ve all seen the red glowing masks all over Instagram, but what are the benefits you ask? Here’s some more information as well as a little bit of science from our laser expert.

‘Regular use of LED light therapy can be used to reduce breakouts, pigmentation, rosacea symptoms, dark shadows, psoriasis and other side-effects of inflammation. If the above doesn’t apply to you, it can simply help to improve the appearance of your face and neck (the first places to show signs of aging). The light doesn’t just go skin deep, as it’s been much lauded for its mental health benefits: our clients noted their mood improved dramatically afterwards. This works because the LED light boosts our ATP (adenosine triphosphate)  so that it can fuel other cells with energy and boost our serotonin.’

Suitable for all ages with zero downtime.

CACI Machine.

This machine is dubbed by stars as ‘non-surgical face lift’ as it works in harmony with the body’s own bio-electrical field to help improve skin tone, texture and face shape.

Micro current facial toning is combined with light therapy to regenerate tissue and help repair collagen. The machine is an LED light therapy where warm, coloured light penetrates deep into the skin. The machine is multifaceted, as it can provide lymphatic drainage, peeling, cleansing and toning and also help rid deep lines. Overall giving you younger looking skin. If you’re looking for a micro current tool at home, then I love the NuFACE Trinity Facial Toning Device.

Technology has come a long way - me and my skin are for sure thankful for science!

Kisses,

Lilli x
