The film for Christmas: "The Eight Mountains" with Alessandro Borghi and Luca Marinelli
At the cinema from 22 December the couple Alessandro Borghi and Luca Marinelli will be together in the film "The eight mountains" based on the 2017 Strega Prize-winning book by Paolo Cognetti.
The film "The Eight Mountains" directed by Felix Van Groeningen and Charlotte Vandermeersch wins the jury prize at Cannes 2022 , to arrive in cinemas on December 22, promising to support (if not even surpass) the other highly anticipated Christmas film "Avatar 2 - The way of the water". Alessandro Borghi and Luca Marinelli return to the cinema together after 7 years alongside an almost entirely Italian cast: a story of friendship and life between snowy peaks and valleys, a tale of complicity and a bond that goes beyond distance and time. Pietro and Bruno are two friends, two children who, having become men, try to distance themselves from their fathers but, due to the strange interweaving that is life, they always end up not finding themselves where they came from. Pietro (Marinelli) is a city boy, Bruno (Borghi) lives in a mountain village. Over the years, Bruno remains faithful to his mountains, while Pietro is the one who distances himself between the two. Life goes on, choices take their course and between the plots of a story of people who come and go, they will discover what it means to be friends forever.
