A simple rule to help control the colour interior

How to control the colour storm at home? It's quite simple, you just need to rely on a universal rule.

If you've decided to paint your home brighter, try applying the "60-30-10" rule of color proportions. How does it work? These three numbers define the three interior colors selected. The first of them is the more neutral as if the background connects everything, this color should make up 60% of the room. The second color you will spend 30% of space on, can be more intense. And the last - the most prominent - as if the accent in the interior should occupy no more than 10%.

An interior created on this principle will not irritate or tire the eye but will attract the eye with an expressive combination of colors. When placing interior details and accents in colored spaces, do not overdo it, assess whether the space will not become too crowded. Also pay attention to the overall look of styles, materials, and shapes. It will be easier to unify the space if geometric shapes, curves, or lines are repeated: in furniture, patterns, details, etc.
