Head to Murano, the Venetian island renowned for its long tradition of glassmaking. It is here that Louis Vuitton has set up its workshops, the time to transform the caps of its perfumes into real works of art, from its limited and numbered edition line Les Extraits. Handcrafted by master glassmaker Simone Cenedese , each stopper becomes a unique, colorful and virtuoso collector's item.

Created to mark the first anniversary of the Louis Vuitton Les Extraits line - a collection of fragrances crafted by the House's master perfumer, Jacques Cavallier Belletrud , who boldly reinvented the notion of perfume extract, the purest form and most precious in perfumery - the new Murano Art edition presents a single extract, the radiant and immersive Symphony.

To complement the fragrance's graceful, curved bottle, which also bears his meticulously engraved signature, legendary architect Frank Gehry transformed his original stopper into a remarkable new creation. Specially designed to be molded by hand in Murano glass, each of these limited and numbered edition stoppers is as unique as nature itself. Resembling an imaginary kaleidoscopic flower blossoming from the bottle or a collection of vivid petals caught in the breeze, the cork poetically embodies Frank Gehry 's characteristic fluid and sculptural forms. " When we first designed the perfume bottle for the Les Extraits de Louis Vuitton collection ," recalls Frank Gehry , " I dreamed of making the caps in bright colors. Today, in collaboration with Simone Cenedese and its glass artisans, we were finally able to realize this vision. The colors the team created are beautiful and ever-changing. "

For each stopper, third-generation master glassmaker Simone Cenedese blew and then sculpted black, red, blue and clear glass. The result is a feat of creativity and craftsmanship and, ultimately, a remarkable work of art.
