Six years after her iconic Sistine Chapel-inspired look in 2018, Ariana Grande makes a stunning return to this year’s Met Gala. For her performance at this year's Met, the singer and actress graced the stage in an ensemble that epitomized ethereal elegance and artistic flair. Against the backdrop of the Temple of Dendur, and amidst a verdant, forest-inspired set envisioned by Derek McClane, Grande commenced her mesmerizing performance adorned in a bespoke creation by Maison Margiela, designed by the visionary John Galliano. Shedding her initial red carpet frock, Grande took the stage in a breathtaking outfit that contrasted her earlier look.

Beneath an over-the-top ball gown made of spiderweb crinoline and diaphanous organdy smock embroidered with lace and thread, Grande revealed a verdant forest green draped tulle dress adorned with intricate rosettes, hand-sprayed with glistening gold dust, and embellished with delicate crystal and mirror embroideries. The lightweight ensemble was layered over a tulle skirt and a buttoned corset, creating a dreamy visual tableau that captured the essence of the evening's theme.

Styled by Mimi Cuttrell, with makeup by Michael Anthony, hair by Alyx Liu, and nails by Daniel Taverez from NailGlam Production, the star radiated a divine kind of beauty that perfectly complemented her captivating performance.

She was also joined by her Wicked co-star Cynthia Erivo for a stunning rendition of the Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey classic, “When You Believe.”

“I had the honor and the most special time performing at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in Maison Margiela by the one and only, the most brilliant angel of all, John Galliano (how I wept in our fitting!) Working on this performance was an experience I will cherish forever.” - Ariana Grande
