Best Fashion Moments At King Charles's Coronation

One of the biggest and most anticipated events of the year has arrived — King Charles's coronation. Following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, the crowning ceremony for her successor King Charles was met with an extensive planning process that took months to finalize. From securing the guest list to rounding up the nobility to finalizing the lineup for the coronation concert to perfecting the coronation attire, there is no detail that has been overlooked.

While this was an immense event that the world was privy to as the coronation was televised, it was still a royal affair — an understanding that is reflected in the invite list. Contrary to the idea of the coronation being filled with many A-list celebrities, the invitations were predominantly sent to British nobility, foreign royals, close friends and family, British leaders, and religious representatives. One of the biggest questions leading up to the coronation was the attendance status of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, in which Markle reportedly decided to stay home with the children while Prince Harry attended the coronation in support of his father. Of course, having such a major spotlight on a momentous event calls for the most sophisticated of attire — and the guests did not disappoint. Middleton amped up her already chic sense of style as she showed up in a color-blocked royal robe atop a custom Alexander McQueen dress. First Lady Jill Biden looked classically chic in her blue skirt suit and nude pumps.  Prince Harry took a more traditional route by donning a decorated black suit.
