Coco Crush: Chanel unveils new pieces
Chanel enriches its Coco Crush collection with a new paving and the introduction of rubies among the diamonds.
For 10 years now, Chanel has been making matelassé more and more precious through Coco Crush, a jewellery collection in beige gold sometimes set with diamonds. Each piece - ring, bracelet, earrings - displays a generous curve, contrasting with the graphic lines of the matelassé pattern.
For the first time, it welcomes intense, flamboyant red rubies housed in the hollow of a C or in the center of an O, giving "COCO" when accumulated on the wrist or on an ear. "Red is the color of life, I love red." , said Gabrielle Chanel, who loved to abuse this shade to enhance her creations. This new vintage also reveals a new paving, where the diamonds follow the direction given by the incises, while the precious stones seem naturally sprinkled on the gold. Jewels to be freely appropriated and accumulated, by mixing the different golds and pavings, in the manner of Gabrielle Chanel who wore her clothes and necklaces by freeing herself from looks and trends.
