Prada's Spring Summer 2023: between rigor and color

The lights of a landscape at dawn, the light that pierces the transparent mesh fabric, are just some of the sensations that the Prada Spring Summer 2023 women's show transmits. A game of refractions, observations on reality, where will our summer dreams end? The outerwear is always held tight by the hands, exactly as in the first debut fashion show of creative co-direction by Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons , that is the Spring Summer 2021 season. Prada's Spring Summer 2023 is poised between the seasons, from the most autumnal temperatures to the summer ones: biker leather jackets, gray cotton jumpsuits, black trunks, brown micro dresses. The flowers pop up in maxi print, in a couple of looks. The train of a miniskirt becomes a bow, which descends from the head to the ground, accompanying the gait of the models.
Portfolio skirts open with slits from which flaps of fluttering light fabric emerge, the mary-jane with the important soles of the collections of the 2000s are back, the shopper bags are held under the arm, the rigid clutches are doubled. Silk roses applied on total white workwear dresses (black t-shirts appear below), as a casual detail, white shirts become tight rompers, the tuxedo jacket becomes oversized and acts as a duster. The Prada triangle becomes lace embroidery, stands out on all transparent sleeveless dresses, probable new key piece for next season, instead of the white tank top.
