Givenchy unveils its Beach collection

For its Beach collection, Givenchy immerses itself in the seaside heritage of Hubert de Givenchy and his house on the heights of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat.

Acquired by the French fashion designer in 1985, Clos Fiorentina is one of the oldest properties on the Riviera . Featuring Italian gardens scented with orange and lemon trees with breathtaking views of the Mediterranean and decorated by architect François Catroux, it was the embodiment of the French dolce vita style. Hubert de Givenchy obviously an inspiration with his summer fashion and still inspires the brand today, and more particularly the Beach collection. Launched in summer 2023, this capsule borrows materials and prints dear to the designer such as French linen, lemon print or nautical stripe. The Voyou and G-Tote bags take on summer time and are adorned with raffia. For the day, the feminine wardrobe in linen, cotton terry and knit consists of light caftans, swimsuits, double-breasted jackets, structured blouses and tank tops, button-down pants and mid-summer skirts, in sea green, coral, beige and even leopard tones. In the evening, we play the sophistication card with satin and transparency. As for men's fashion, it features Provençal linen pants, lemon-print shirts in linen, Japanese seersucker or striped organic silk. The colours play up the summer with sunny red, fresh navy, sandy beige or ecru. We fell in love with the exclusive “Le Clos52” motif featured on a casual T-shirt, a nod to the Givenchy estate and the year he opened his fashion house.
