Hermès jewellery collection "Les Formes de la Couleur"
Pierre Hardy's talented hand has drawn a jewellery universe where colours, eyes and shapes collide, reflect and diffuse each other in architectural, sophisticated and enchanting works.
“This collection is a journey of defining colour. I aspired to find my own interpretation of the fundamental phenomenon of colour, in the language of Hermès, and from there create a strong, independent and self-confident visual statement.” - Pierre Hardy, Creative Director of Hermès Jewellery. This is a journey through the world of color, where quantity and quality are stripped, reconstructed and viewed through different design lenses.
Guided by curiosity and a desire for freedom, the new Hermès high jewellery collection – created by Pierre Hardy – opens a dazzling, eclectic journey. Colours come to life through the eyes – when light hits the receptors on the retina. Pierre Hardy, Creative Director of Hermès Jewellery, celebrates this magical effect: the movement of colour, shape and light. In this collection, he not only captures the intangible, but also tells a story of reflection, a subtle experiment around visual perception and the beauty of perception.
The concept of resonance between colour and geometric shapes inspired the creation of the rings of the "Portraits de la couleur" (Colour Portraits) line, which contribute to illustrating surprising relationships in a sophisticated structure: the red of the ruby is a square, the yellow of the beryl is a triangle, the blue of the sapphire is a circle…
With monochromatic strokes, the “Fresh Paint” range conveys a stone-painted illusion; precious and semi-precious stones appear as deep, nuanced Arabic stencils. The meticulous setting of the stones creates this dynamic effect, giving the jewellery a unique dimension and texture. A beautiful illusion.
The soft, undulating shapes of the “Arc en couleurs” line hug the curves of the body, and their soft colours evoke a dreamy feeling. Finished with sophisticated enamel techniques, the bracelets and necklaces are the result of cutting-edge technology. Nearly 1,400 stones were selected to create the gradient of colours in this necklace.
The rings, bracelets and necklaces of the "Hermès Diaprés" (Hermès sparkling) line are adorned with central stones; white diamonds or hexagonal-cut sapphires, creating a soft and colorful diffused light.
These radiant rays of light enhance each architecturally inspired motif, created from mother-of-pearl, coloured stones and baguette diamonds, in a visual symphony. To accurately convey the spirit of the sketch, each mother-of-pearl panel has been meticulously hand-cut, recreating the fluidity of light, material and form.
Architectural, precious and enchanting, the "Supracolor" line includes a unique necklace that demonstrates the diffraction of light waves; the transition from black to white and the appearance of rays of colour, through the prism of a rutile quartz set with sparkling triangular-cut diamonds.
“Colour Shapes” evoke bold encounters that contradict and surprise: The rounded and asymmetrical shapes of the “Colour Vibes” line are combined with classically cut gemstones – such as hexagonal-cut emeralds or baguette-cut tanzanites. The “Colour Flash” line offers geometric shapes set with vibrant colored stones, like pixelated digital images. The innovative and unique structure of the necklace allows for adjustable lengths, allowing for multiple ways of wearing.
Hermès cultivates a unique approach to high jewellery, inherited from its saddlery roots. Infused with this bold spirit, the new jewelry collection combines powerful shapes and rich colours, creating a powerful emotional experience.
