Louis Vuitton, everything we know about Pharrell Williams' first show

The new creative director of Louis Vuitton's men's line will debut his first show during Paris Fashion Week. What will the new course of Louis Vuitton menswear be like? Will Pharrell Williams be able to exceed expectations? What role will Rihanna play? Here's everything we know...

Is there really any need to state which is the most awaited event of Paris Fashion Week (and by far of all the spring summer 2024 shows)? The designation of this contemporary icon as creative director of Louis Vuitton's men's line remained secret until February 14, when the French house broke its silence and announced the appointment of Pharrell Williams .

"This isn't a job, it's a dream," Pharrell Williams told Vogue . "And if I really had a job to do, it would be to not wake me up." A dream in which we will immerse ourselves in the waves of the Seine. Apparently, the only way to reach the catwalk will be by boat. Who knows what Pharrell Williams may have concocted, who called none other than Rihanna for Louis Vuitton's spring summer 2024 campaign.

The collection - again according to the interview released by Pharrell Williams to Vogue - will revolve around the concept of "lovers" and although he has been designated as creative director of the men's line, we will probably also see garments not classified as men's on the catwalk. “My clothing is for people. In a time when it comes to inclusiveness, this collection truly will be,” Williams said. Who was helped and influenced by his friend Nigo - creative director of Kenzo since 2021 - for the creation of spring summer 2024. Nigo that Pharrell Williams has revealed that he supported strongly for the role that belonged to Virgil Abloh and to which he was later designated himself. We don't know much about the changes Pharrell will bring to Vuitton. There is - here yes - the strictest confidentiality. The only leaked indiscretion is the one on the classic "damier" motif, which apparently will give way to a new chessboard (or maybe not even that much of an upheaval?), renamed "damouflage". We just have to wait and find out where Louis Vuitton 's new course will take ...
